Who We Are

OUR STORY

Why LaxReach exists

Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States, but access to the game is still limited in many communities.

Equipment costs, limited exposure, and lack of local programs prevent many young athletes from ever stepping onto the field. LaxReach was created to change that.

By organizing youth clinics and providing equipment support, LaxReach introduces new players to the sport while building confidence, teamwork, and community through athletics.

LaxReach is dedicated to expanding access to lacrosse by providing equipment, coaching, and opportunities to underserved communities around the world. Through sport, we aim to empower youth, build confidence, and create lasting connections that extend far beyond the field.

Meet the team

Thandi Chisango

Founder

Thandi founded LaxReach to introduce more young athletes to lacrosse and make the sport more accessible to communities that may not otherwise have the opportunity.

Shea LeRosen

Local & International Outreach Chair

Shea helps grow LaxReach’s outreach efforts by building partnerships, coordinating clinic logistics, and supporting local and international community connections.

Audrey Zambrano

Grants & Development Manager

Audrey leads LaxReach’s funding and development efforts, helping secure grants, sponsorships, and donor support to expand clinics, mentorship, and equipment access.

Claire Gicheru

Public Relations & Media Lead

Claire helps share LaxReach’s mission by documenting programs, growing awareness, and communicating the real impact of expanding access to lacrosse.
